FOOD PANTRY
The Food Pantry will be open on Tuesday, April 9 at 3:30 p.m. This event will be indoors. Enter at the Lorain Ave. doors of the school. We look forward to seeing you there!
SHARE-A-MEAL
Please join us for the Share-A-Meal on Wednesday, April 3 & 17 at 5:30 pm INSIDE! All are welcome - bring your family and friends, there are no residency requirements. Join us in the cafeteria and enter through the rear door. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. for coffee, appetizers, and catching up with friends. Dinner will be served at 5:30 p.m. A mini food pantry is available on occasion. Hope to see you there!
Eucharistic Adoration
Join us for Eucharist Adoration on the First Friday of every month at 7 pm. Come and spend time with the Lord. Acknowledge his presence, kneel in adoration, and come to know him more deeply. Pray for the Lord to shower you with His Blessings.
Taize Prayer
Taizé Prayer is a distinctive style of meditative prayer developed by an ecumenical community of monks in rural France. This quiet, moving reflective prayer combines elements of the Church's traditional Liturgy of the Hours with elements of contemplative meditation. A typical Taizé prayer service incorporates periods of silence with meditative readings from Scripture, prayers of praise and intercession, and the frequent repetition of simple, contemporary chants. Here are the 2023 dates. They are all on a Thursday. This service will be live-streamed on Facebook so our remote guests can enjoy this beautiful prayer service.
Lower Church Proposed Renovations
In the early days of our Parish, Mass was held in the basement of the church while the upstairs was still under construction. In the 1950's weekly Sunday Mass attendees were so great in number that services were held simultaneously in both the upstairs and the downstairs church .
Our Parish needs evolved over the years and the basement became a catch-all for storage. You would find Christmas decorations and church pews, statutes and candlesticks, pieces and parts from the Church festivals and oddities of all kinds.
In the 1980's a section of the basement was partitioned off to store items for our Food Pantry.
Recently crews have been working to eliminate the clutter , organize the valuables and reclaim the basement for usable space.
The following is the Final Rendering of the renovations planned for the lower church. You will be hearing more on this project and how it is being funded, in the near future.

RIVER VALLEY PAPER COMPANY Saint Ignatius of Antioch Church and School have partnered with River Valley Paper Company to help with our recycling needs. Items accepted in our bin are magazines, catalogs, newspapers, office papers, notebooks, wrapping paper, holiday cards, paper bags, mail, junk mail, hard and softbound books, phonebooks and bagged shredded paper. Items not accepted are styrofoam, plastic, aluminum, glass, metal, and trash.
